Walking
From the center of Keflavik, head west on Hafnargata street towards the coast. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Grænásgata, then turn left. Follow Grænásgata until you reach the end of the road where it meets Við Nýja, then turn right. Continue along Við Nýja, which will curve and turn into Sandvík road. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach Sandvík Beach. You will see signs directing you to the beach, and you will be able to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery along the way.
Public Transport
Take the local bus number 55 from the Keflavik bus station, which is located in the town center. The bus will take you towards Sandvík. Make sure to check the latest bus schedule for departure times. After about a 20-minute ride, disembark at the Sandvík stop. From there, it is a short walk down to the beach. Follow the signs towards the beach area, and you will reach your destination.
Bicycle
If you can rent a bicycle in Keflavik, start from the town center and head towards Hafnargata. Continue west until you get to Grænásgata and turn left. Follow the road until you hit Við Nýja, then turn right. Stay on Sandvík road for approximately 2 kilometers. The bike ride will take around 10-15 minutes, and you will enjoy the fresh air and scenic views along the coast.
