  • Car

    If you're driving from Reykjavik, take Route 41 towards Keflavik. After about 35 km, merge onto Route 43 at the traffic circle towards Reykjanesbær. Continue on this road for about 20 km until you reach the junction with Route 42. Take Route 42 towards Grindavik and follow the signs for Valahnúkamöl. Once you are on Route 42, look for signs indicating Valahnúkamöl as you approach the coast. The site has a parking area where you can leave your car.

    From Reykjavik, take the Strætó bus route 55 towards Keflavik. Get off at the Reykjanesbær stop. From there, transfer to bus route 42 towards Grindavik. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Valahnúkamöl, or check the bus schedule and the stops. The bus will drop you off at a stop near the coast, and you will need to walk a short distance to the attraction.
