From the main area in Kerlingarfjöll, start by heading towards Route 35 (the main road). Drive approximately 15 kilometers east on Route 35 until you reach the turn-off for the F35 road. Turn left onto F35 and continue driving for about 10 kilometers. You will come to a parking area near Blesi, which is well signposted. Park your vehicle and walk a short distance to the geothermal area of Blesi, located at the coordinates 64.3134771, -20.3013537.
Public Transportation
If you are relying on public transportation, check local bus schedules as they may vary seasonally. From the nearest bus stop in Kerlingarfjöll, take a bus heading towards Reykjavík or Blönduós and disembark at the F35 junction. From there, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers along the F35 to reach Blesi. Ensure you have a map or GPS device, as the walking path is not marked. Note that public transport in remote areas may be limited, so plan accordingly.
Hiking
