Car
From Kerlingarfjöll, head southeast on the main road (Route 35) toward Þingvellir National Park. Continue on Route 35 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 36. Turn left onto Route 36 and follow the signs to Þingvellir. After around 20 kilometers, you will arrive at Þingvellir National Park entrance. There may be a parking fee, typically around ISK 1,000. Park in the designated area and follow the marked trails towards Öxarárfoss, which is about a 2-kilometer walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Kerlingarfjöll to the nearest major town, such as Laugarvatn. From Laugarvatn, you can catch a bus to Þingvellir National Park. Note that bus schedules can vary, so check the latest timetable in advance. Once you arrive at Þingvellir, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to Öxarárfoss by following the marked trails in the park.
