Getting There

Bus
From any location in Kopavogur, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus line 1 or 3 heading towards Reykjavik. Once on the bus, you will want to travel towards the Reykjavik terminal. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Reykjavik BSI' bus terminal. From there, transfer to the bus line 5 or 12 heading towards Thingvellir National Park. It will take approximately 50 minutes. Get off at the 'Öxarárfoss' stop, which is near the attraction.

If you are near the bus stop on Breiðumörk or Víðimörk, you can walk to the bus terminal BSI to catch the bus to Thingvellir. The walk will take about 15-20 minutes. Follow the road to the west until you reach the main intersection, then turn left on to Hringbraut, which will lead you to the terminal.
