Continue on Route 30 until you reach Route 26, which takes you towards Þingvellir National Park. From Route 26, follow signs to Þórsmörk, which is the nearest area to Axlafoss. Note that the roads may become gravel and challenging, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for highland driving. Once you reach Þórsmörk, park your car and follow the designated hiking trails leading to Axlafoss waterfall, which is approximately a 2-hour hike from the parking area.
