If you're driving, start from Akureyri, the largest town in the Northeastern Region. Take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading east. After approximately 80 kilometers, keep an eye out for Route 87, which branches off to the right. Follow Route 87 for about 20 kilometers until you reach Reykjahlíð. Hlid Hostel is located at Hraunbrún 660, just a short drive from the center of Reykjahlíð. Look for the signs leading to the hostel, which is situated on the outskirts of town.

The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Reykjahlíð bus stop, Hlid Hostel is approximately a 15-minute walk away. Head southeast on Hrafnagata, then turn left onto Hraunbrún. Continue straight until you reach the hostel at number 660.
