Car
If you're driving, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading north from Akureyri. After approximately 90 km, take the exit for Route 848 towards Mývatn. Continue on Route 848 for about 25 km until you reach the entrance to Mývatn Nature Baths, located at Jarðbaðshólar, 660 Mývatn. There is ample parking available on-site. Be sure to check road conditions, especially in winter.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a bus from Akureyri to Mývatn. Check the schedules for Strætó, the Icelandic public bus service. Buses typically run multiple times a day, but be sure to confirm the schedule in advance. Once you arrive at the Mývatn bus stop, it is about a 10-minute walk to Mývatn Nature Baths. Follow the signs toward Jarðbaðshólar and you will reach the baths.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Akureyri to Mývatn Nature Baths. The drive will take approximately 1.5 hours and will cost around 20,000 ISK (Icelandic Krona) one way. This option is ideal if you are traveling with a group and want a more comfortable ride.
