If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Borgarnes. Head northeast on Route 1 (the Ring Road) for about 30 kilometers until you reach Route 50. Turn left onto Route 50 and continue for approximately 12 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Bifröst and Glanni Waterfall. After about 5 kilometers, you will arrive at the parking area for Glanni Waterfall. The waterfall is just a short walk from the parking lot.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Borgarnes to Bifröst. Check the local bus schedule for exact times. Once you arrive in Bifröst, you can either walk or take a taxi to Glanni Waterfall, which is about 5 kilometers away. Walking will take approximately 1 hour, and you will be traversing a scenic route. Be sure to check the return bus schedule to avoid being stranded.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous travelers, renting a bicycle in Borgarnes is an option. From Borgarnes, take Route 1 northeast towards Route 50, and then continue along the same route as cars. The ride will take approximately 2 hours, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way. Make sure to wear appropriate gear and check the weather conditions before you set out.
