Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center (Miðborg), head towards Kirkjutorg. From Lækjargata street, walk towards the intersection with Hverfisgata. Turn left onto Hverfisgata and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Kirkjutorg. The Alþingishúsið will be on your right at the address 43W5+MWW, Kirkjutorg, 101 Reykjavík. Look for the distinctive building with a large stone façade.

  • Public Transport

    Take a bus from any location in Reykjavik that has a stop near your current location. Use the Ráðhús bus stop as a reference point. Board a bus heading towards the city center and get off at the 'Hlemmur' stop. From Hlemmur, walk 10 minutes towards Kirkjutorg: head south on Laugavegur, take a left on Hverfisgata, and continue straight until you reach Kirkjutorg. The Alþingishúsið will be on your right.
