From Reykjavik city center, head to the nearest bus stop (e.g., Hlemmur or Lækjartorg). Take bus number 11 towards Seltjarnarnes and stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Seltjarnarnes' stop. From there, walk west towards the coast for about 10 minutes until you reach the Grótta Island Lighthouse. Follow the coastal path, and you will see the lighthouse ahead.

Walking
If you are already near the coast, you can take a scenic walk from the city center. Start at the Harpa Concert Hall and walk along the waterfront promenade towards Seltjarnarnes. The walk will take approximately 1-1.5 hours, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the sea and mountains. Continue walking until you reach the Grótta Island Lighthouse, which is located at the end of the peninsula.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Reykjavik. From the city center, cycle towards the coast, following the path along the waterfront. It is about 4 km from the city center to Grótta Island Lighthouse, and it should take you around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Seltjarnarnes, continue cycling west along the coastal path until you reach the lighthouse.
