  • Ferry

    To reach Videy Island from Reykjavik, start by making your way to the Old Harbour area. If you're near the city center, you can walk to the harbour in about 15-20 minutes. Simply head towards the waterfront and follow the signs for the Old Harbour. Once you arrive at the harbour, look for the ticket booth for Elding or the Videy Ferry, which operates regularly to Videy Island. Purchase your ticket and board the ferry. The ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the city and the surrounding waters.

    If you prefer to walk to the Old Harbour from the city center, start at Hallgrímskirkja, the iconic church. From there, walk down Skólavörðustígur street towards the waterfront. Continue straight onto Aðalstræti, which will lead you down to the harbour area. Once at the harbour, follow the previous instructions to board the ferry to Videy Island.
