Getting There

Walking
From the center of Hlíðar, start at the intersection of Hringbraut and Suðurgata. Head east on Suðurgata until you reach the junction with Laugavegur. Turn right onto Laugavegur and continue straight for about 1 kilometer, enjoying the local shops and cafes along the way. When you reach the intersection with Vatnsmýrarvegur, turn left. Continue straight, and soon you will see Perlan, which is situated on a hill to your right. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes.

If you prefer to take the bus, you can catch the number 18 from the nearest bus stop in Hlíðar. Board the bus heading towards 'Háskóli Íslands' and get off at the 'Perlan' stop. The journey will take about 10 minutes, and buses run frequently. A single ticket costs around 490 ISK. From the bus stop, Perlan is just a short walk up the hill.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Hlíðar. Once you have your bike, head towards Suðurgata, then follow the same route as if you were walking.
