Walking
If you are in Hlíðar and want to reach Skolavorduholt, start by heading towards the nearest bus stop. You can find bus stops along Laugavegur, a major street in the area. From there, you can take bus number 14 or 19, which will get you close to your destination. The bus fare is approximately 490 ISK for a single ride, so ensure you have the correct change or a prepaid travel card. After about 10-15 minutes on the bus, get off at the 'Skólavörðustígur' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Skolavorduholt. Head west on Skólavörðustígur, and then take a left onto the path that leads directly to Skolavorduholt.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Hlíðar. After renting a bike, head towards the intersection of Snorrabraut and Kringlumýrarbraut. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Skólavörðustígur. Take a right turn and follow the road until you see Skolavorduholt ahead. This route should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on your biking speed.
Public Transportation - Bus
Another option is to use public transportation. Look for the nearest bus stop along Laugavegur and board bus number 14, which will take you to 'Hringbraut' stop. The journey will take about 10 minutes. From 'Hringbraut', you can walk north on Skólavörðustígur for approximately 10 minutes to reach Skolavorduholt. Don't forget to purchase your bus ticket in advance, which costs around 490 ISK.
