Once at Hlemmur, find the bus stop for bus number 57. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride to Esjan. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Esjan,' and you will see the mountain range directly ahead.

If you are near the coastline, you can walk to Esjan. Start from the Harpa Concert Hall and head north along the waterfront. Follow the path that leads towards the Sæbraut road. Continue walking along Sæbraut until you reach the intersection with Kaldalón. Follow Kaldalón, which will lead you towards the base of Esjan. This walk is about 8 kilometers and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, offering beautiful views of the sea and mountains along the way.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Reykjavik. Simply inform the driver that you want to go to Esjan, and they will know the location. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic, and it will cost around 5,000 to 7,000 ISK. Make sure to confirm the price before getting in.
