Walking
If you are in the Vesturbær neighborhood, you can reach Perlan by walking. Start at the intersection of Hringbraut and Suðurgata. Walk south along Hringbraut for about 1.5 kilometers, which will take approximately 20 minutes. You will pass various local shops and cafes along the way, providing a lovely stroll. Keep an eye out for the large white dome of Perlan as you approach; it is situated on a hill, making it visible from a distance.
Public Bus
For those who prefer public transportation, you can take bus line 18 from the nearest bus stop in Vesturbær. Board the bus at the 'Hátún' stop and stay on for about 10 minutes. Disembark at the 'Perlan' stop, which is located right in front of the attraction. The fare for a single journey is approximately 490 ISK for adults, and you can pay using a credit card at the bus or via the Strætó app.
Biking
Another option is to rent a bike, as there are several bike rental services in Vesturbær. Once you have a bike, head towards Hringbraut and ride along the designated bike lanes. The ride to Perlan should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace. You will enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding area as you make your way to the museum.
