As you approach Hella, look for the entrance to the Caves of Hella on your left, at 851 Hella. The total walking distance is about 8 kilometers, which should take you roughly 1.5 to 2 hours.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Selfoss and ride east on Aðalgata. When you reach the intersection with Þjóðvegur, turn right. Biking along Þjóðvegur, you will cover the distance to Hella more quickly than walking. The ride is approximately 8 kilometers, which should take around 25 to 30 minutes. Look for the Caves of Hella on your left side when entering Hella, located at 851 Hella.
