Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Þjóðvegur (Route 1). Cross the road and follow the signs for the walking path along the riverbank. This path will lead you towards Þorláksbúð. Continue along the river until you reach a small wooden bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the path that veers right. Stay on the path for about 1.5 kilometers until you see Þorláksbúð, which will be on your left. Look for the historical landmark signs that indicate your arrival.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the central square of Selfoss. From there, bike south on Austurvegur. When you reach Þjóðvegur (Route 1), be cautious as it can be busy with traffic. There is a bike lane that runs parallel to the route. Follow the bike lane along the river for about 2 kilometers. You will see signs for Þorláksbúð, which is a historical landmark.
