Starting from the center of Selfoss, head east on Eyrarvegur road. Continue straight until you reach the bridge over the Ölfusá River. Cross the bridge, and once you reach the other side, take a left onto Þjóðvegur road (the main road). Follow Þjóðvegur for about 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign for Traustholtshólmi. Follow the sign which will lead you to a path that takes you directly to Traustholtshólmi.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Selfoss town center and head east on Eyrarvegur. Continue on this road until you reach the bridge over the Ölfusá River. Cross the bridge, then take a left onto Þjóðvegur road. Cycle along Þjóðvegur for approximately 1.5 kilometers.
