Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Seydisfjordur, head west on the main road, Þjóðvegur 93. Continue walking until you reach the turn-off for Vesturvegur, which is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the center of the village. Once you reach Vesturvegur, turn right and follow the road as it curves along the fjord. After about 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Haífoss. There will be a short walking path leading towards the waterfall. The total distance from Seydisfjordur to Haífoss is approximately 2.5 kilometers, and the walk will take about 30-40 minutes.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Seydisfjordur and head west along Þjóðvegur 93. Continue for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction for Vesturvegur. Turn right onto Vesturvegur and follow it as it bends along the fjord. The ride to Haífoss will take about 15-20 minutes. Look for the sign indicating the path to the waterfall after cycling for about 1 kilometer on Vesturvegur.
