From Skaftafell, head northwest on Route 1 (the Ring Road). Continue driving for about 30 kilometers (approximately 30 minutes). Look for the sign for Skógafoss on your right, and turn onto Route 221. Follow this road for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach the parking area for Skógafoss. Parking is free.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, check with local bus services such as the Strætó bus system. From Skaftafell, you can take a bus towards Vík and request to be dropped off at the Skógafoss stop. The bus journey will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
