Car
From Skaftafell, head east on Route 1 (Ring Road) for approximately 20 kilometers. Look for the sign for Fjallsárlón on your right. Turn onto Route 998, which leads directly to the lagoon. There is parking available near the lagoon, and the entrance is free.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Skaftafell to the nearest bus stop on Route 1. Check the local bus schedule for the latest timings. Once you reach the stop, you will need to walk about 2 kilometers to Fjallsárlón. There are no direct public transport options to the lagoon, so it’s advisable to check with local tour operators for possible shuttle services which may incur additional costs.
