Car
From Skaftafell, head northeast on Route 1 (Þjóðvegur) towards Höfn. Continue for approximately 35 kilometers. You will see Foss á Síðu on your right side, just past the town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. There is a parking area near the waterfall where you can stop and enjoy the view.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from the Skaftafell bus stop to Kirkjubæjarklaustur. The bus service is operated by Strætó and runs several times a day. Once you arrive at Kirkjubæjarklaustur, you can either walk approximately 3 kilometers along Route 1 (Þjóðvegur) towards Foss á Síðu or check for local taxi services to take you there directly.
Walking (from Kirkjubæjarklaustur)
If you choose to walk from Kirkjubæjarklaustur to Foss á Síðu, head northwest on Route 1 (Þjóðvegur) for about 3 kilometers. The walk will take you through beautiful Icelandic landscapes, and you should arrive at the waterfall shortly. Be cautious of traffic as you walk along the road.
