If you're driving from any location in Skaftafell, start by heading south on Route 1 (the Ring Road). Continue on Route 1 for about 15 kilometers until you see the turn-off towards Skaftafell National Park. Follow the signs to Skaftafell Visitor Center, which is well marked. Once you arrive at the visitor center, there is a parking lot where you can leave your vehicle. The parking fee is approximately 1,000 ISK for 24 hours.
