Car
From Skaftafell, head northwest on Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Selfoss. Continue driving for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Take the exit for Route 35 towards Geysir. Follow Route 35 for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at the Geysir Geothermal Area where Strokkur Geyser is located. There is a parking area available near the geyser, and parking fees may apply, typically around 700 ISK for a day.
Public Transportation
Take the bus from Skaftafell to Selfoss. You can check the bus schedules with Strætó, Iceland's public transport service. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. From Selfoss, you will need to transfer to another bus heading to Geysir. The Geysir stop is close to Strokkur Geyser, and the total travel time may vary, but expect around 3-4 hours including transfer times. Please note that public transportation schedules may have limited frequency, so plan ahead.
