Car
From the center of Snæfellsbær, head east on Route 54. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 57. Turn left onto Route 57 and follow it for about 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Kirkjufellsfossar. After turning off from Route 57, follow the road for another 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area at Kirkjufellsfossar. Be sure to check your GPS as well for the most accurate and updated directions.
Public Transportation
From Snæfellsbær, take the bus towards Grundarfjörður. The bus service usually operates a couple of times a day. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the specific times. After approximately 45 minutes, you will arrive at Grundarfjörður. From the bus stop in Grundarfjörður, you can either walk or take a taxi to Kirkjufellsfossar, which is about 5 kilometers away. If walking, head northwest on the main road, following the signs toward Kirkjufellsfossar. It’s a scenic walk, so take your time to enjoy the views.
