Car
If you are driving from the Snæfellsjökull National Park Visitor Center, head north on Route 54 towards Ólafsvík. Continue on Route 54 for approximately 25 kilometers. As you approach Ólafsvík, turn right onto Stekkjarholt street. Minifoss is located at Stekkjarholt 6, which is only a short distance from the main road. Look for signs indicating the hiking area. Parking is available near the access point to the waterfall.
Public Transportation
Take the bus from Reykjavík to Ólafsvík. The bus ride takes approximately 3 hours. Once you arrive in Ólafsvík, you will need to take a taxi to reach Minifoss as public transportation options may be limited in this area. Taxis can typically be found near the bus station, and the drive to Minifoss will take around 10 minutes. Make sure to confirm with the taxi driver that you want to go to Stekkjarholt 6.
Walking
If you are already in Ólafsvík, you can walk to Minifoss. From the center of Ólafsvík, head northwest on Route 54 until you reach Stekkjarholt street. Turn right and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Follow the signs for the hiking area as you approach the waterfall.
