The remains of the Epine GY7 Fishing Trawler are located near the shore, approximately a 5-10 minute walk from the parking area.

Public transportation options are limited in Snæfellsjökull National Park. However, you can take a bus from Reykjavik to Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Look for the bus service that goes to Ólafsvík or Hellnar. Once you reach either of these towns, you can use a taxi service to get to Djúpalónssandur. The taxi ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Ensure to arrange the return taxi as there may not be frequent services available.
