Car
If you're traveling by car from any location in the Southern Peninsula, head to Route 41 (Reykjanesbraut). From the town of Keflavik, take Route 41 towards Reykjavik. After about 18 kilometers, take the exit for Route 43 towards Grindavik. Continue on Route 43 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the Blue Lagoon, which is well-signposted. There is a parking fee of around 3000 ISK (Icelandic Krona) for the parking lot at Blue Lagoon, so be prepared for this cost.
Public Transportation
To reach Blue Lagoon via public transportation, you can take the Flybus or other shuttle services that operate from Reykjavik. You will need to catch a bus from your location in Southern Peninsula to Reykjavik Bus Terminal (BSI). From there, board a shuttle service to Blue Lagoon. The total travel time can take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on connections. The shuttle ticket can cost between 5000 and 7000 ISK one way.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route and convenience, taking a taxi is another option. From any point in the Southern Peninsula, you can hail a taxi or use a ride-hailing app. The approximate cost from Keflavik to Blue Lagoon is around 15,000 to 20,000 ISK, depending on traffic and exact pickup location. This option is best if you're traveling in a group and can split the fare.
