If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Selfoss, which is a central hub in Southern Region. Head north on Route 1 (the Ring Road) for approximately 80 kilometers. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction with Route 35. Turn right onto Route 35 and head towards Húnavatnshreppur. After about 25 kilometers, you will find Þrístapar on your left side near the coordinates GJ22+GP8. There is a small parking area available for visitors.
