Continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction with Route 35. Turn right onto Route 35 and head towards Húnavatnshreppur. After about 25 kilometers, you will find Þrístapar on your left side near the coordinates GJ22+GP8. There is a small parking area available for visitors.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Selfoss. From Selfoss, you will need to catch a local bus that heads toward Húnavatnshreppur.
