Car
If you are driving from Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading southeast. After approximately 90 km, take the exit towards Route 30. Continue on Route 30 for about 30 km until you reach the junction with Route 26. Turn left onto Route 26 and drive for an additional 15 km. Follow the signs for Búðarhálsfoss/Dynkur, which will lead you to a parking area near the waterfall. The drive takes roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes from Reykjavik.

To reach Dynkur (Búðarhálsfoss) via public transport, take a bus from Reykjavik to Hvolsvöllur. From Hvolsvöllur, you will need to transfer to a bus heading towards Eyrarbakki. Ask the driver to drop you off near the junction of Route 26, where the signs for Búðarhálsfoss are located. From there, you will need to walk approximately 5 km to reach the waterfall. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary based on the season.
