Turn right onto Route 36 and drive for another 10 kilometers. You will then turn left onto Svínaskarðsleið, which is a gravel road leading directly to Móskarðshnjúkar. Please note that a 4WD vehicle is recommended for this last stretch, as the road may be rough and unpaved.
Public Transportation

To access Móskarðshnjúkar via public transport, take a bus from Reykjavík to Hella, which is operated by Strætó. The journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. From Hella, you will need to arrange for a taxi to drive you to Móskarðshnjúkar, as public transport does not cover the last part of the journey.
