Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Stykkisholmur, at the main square near the church (Stykkishólmskirkja). Head southwest on Aðalgata street, which will lead you out of the town. Follow the road as it curves westward. Continue walking for about 5 kilometers, keeping an eye out for the signs that indicate the direction towards Raudhamelur. As you approach the cliffs, you will see a sign for Gerðuberg Cliffs on your right. The cliffs are easily visible from the road, so you can't miss them!

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Stykkisholmur. Begin at the town center and head southwest on Aðalgata street. Continue on the main road for approximately 5 kilometers. The route is mostly flat and offers beautiful views along the way. As you approach Raudhamelur, look for the sign indicating Gerðuberg Cliffs on your right. There are bike racks available near the cliffs where you can lock up your bike.

• Public Transport

  Check the local bus schedule for services heading towards Raudhamelur. The bus station is located near the town square. Purchase a ticket on the bus or at the station. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you want to get off at Gerðuberg Cliffs. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. When you arrive, follow the signs to the cliffs, which are a short walk from the bus stop.
