From the town of Stykkishólmur, head south on Route 54. After approximately 30 kilometers, take a left onto Route 57 at the junction to the Snæfellsnes National Park. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the road leading to Eldborg. Follow the signs for Eldborg, which will lead you directly to the parking area near the hiking trailhead.

If you are starting from Borgarnes, take Route 1 south, then merge onto Route 54 towards Snæfellsnes Peninsula. After about 40 kilometers, turn left onto Route 57. Continue on Route 57 for about 15 kilometers and follow the signs toward Eldborg. You will find parking near the trailhead for the hike to Eldborg.

To reach Eldborg using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavík to Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Many buses operate from the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavík to towns like Ólafsvík or Stykkishólmur. Once you arrive at Stykkishólmur, you may need to rent a car or take a local taxi to reach the trailhead for Eldborg, as direct public transport to the site may not be available.
