Walking
Start at the center of Stykkisholmur, specifically from the main square (Torg) near the church. Head southwest towards the harbor, following the path along the water. Continue walking along the coast until you reach the small road called 'Vatnaleið.' Turn left onto Vatnaleið. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers. As you walk, enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. After about 45 minutes of walking, you will find Selvallafoss on your right-hand side. The waterfall is easily visible from the road, and there is a small path leading to a viewpoint.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Stykkisholmur. Begin your journey from the bike rental location and head towards the harbor. From there, take the path leading to Vatnaleið. Continue straight on Vatnaleið for about 3 kilometers, which should take around 15-20 minutes of biking, depending on your pace. Selvallafoss will be on your right side as you approach, and there is a small path that leads to a viewpoint where you can admire the waterfall.
