Car
From Thorsmork, take the F249 road towards the south. Follow this road for approximately 30 kilometers. You will pass through scenic landscapes and cross rivers, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for F-roads. After about 30 kilometers, you will merge onto the Ring Road (Route 1) heading towards Vík í Mýrdal. Continue on Route 1 for about 15 kilometers until you see the signs for Dyrhólaey Beach. Turn left onto the marked road leading to Dyrhólaey and follow it for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Thorsmork to Vík í Mýrdal. Buses generally run several times a day, but it is advisable to check the local bus schedules for exact times. Upon arriving in Vík, you will need to switch to a local bus that goes to Dyrhólaey Beach. Confirm the bus schedule for this route as it may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the Dyrhólaey stop, it is a short walk to the beach. Please note that public transportation may require some planning, as not all routes run daily.
