From Þórsmörk, head south on the main road until you reach the junction towards Hvolsvöllur. Follow Route 1 (Ring Road) until you see signs for Tumastaðir. The drive takes about 1 hour, and you will need to cross some rivers, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for such conditions.

Take a bus from Þórsmörk to Hvolsvöllur. You can catch the bus at the main bus stop in Þórsmörk. The bus ride takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Hvolsvöllur, you will need to hire a taxi or use a rideshare service to get to Tumastaðir, as public transport options may be limited in that area.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous, it is possible to hike to Tumastaðir from Þórsmörk. This route is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about 4-5 hours.
