Great last day in Iceland with private SouthCoast tour

Our tour guide Egill was amazing. This was our last tour in Iceland and it was a great ending to our 10 days in Iceland. He was able to accurately read us and our abilities ( group of 4 active 70’s ). He even took us to see a house supposed to be inhabited by Elves. It is amazing how the landscape changes in Iceland. Great day of waterfalls. Glacier, black beach, and a nice lunch.

Expert Guide, Fantastic Day!

How wonderful to have our guide, Bjarni, waiting as my husband and I entered the arrivals hall at Keflavik! A warm greeting, a short walk to the car, and we were on our way! The tour included a lovely collection of stops, superbly showcasing the South Coast's stunning waterfalls and other scenic wonders. Bjarni's expert narrative, positive attitude, awesome storytelling skills, and passion for his country enabled us to push the dismal weather into the background and truly enjoy the day! We also appreciated his flexibility with the itinerary, which made it possible for us to drive through Grindavik, a fishing village now largely abandoned as a result of lava flows. It was a sobering experience, and we were so moved by it, we couldn't even bring ourselves to take any pictures there. At our request, Bjarni also adjusted the itinerary, so we could experience the Vik Lava Show -- a truly unique experience! Overall, it was a fantastic first day in Iceland, thanks to Bjarni's considerable expertise and engaging personality! We highly recommend this tour!
