From Reykjavik: Katla Ice Cave and South Coast Day Tour
Bucket list visit to Katla. Fantastic experience!
What an incredible trip. It has been a dream of my husbands (as an ex geologist) for the last three decades, to hike a glacier, see an ice cave and come close to a volcano (even a resting one!). This tour did all that and more. The journey in the super jeep was fantastic! Such fun, magnificent scenery and a smart, funny, entertaining and very well informed guide in Jake. And we got to see Ruby the Arctic fox (from a distance) who came to investigate as we arrived at the glacier. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. We are lucky enough to travel to beautiful South African game parks every year and I didn’t think any experience could rival that of the search for and sighting of our beautiful wildlife but this day out came very very close. Pure joy!

Glacier Hike, South Coast Waterfalls & Black Sand Beach
A great day climbing a glacier and seeing waterfalls!
We did a few different excursions in Iceland and this was by far the best! Thomas was a great guide- informative and kind.
