From the main town of Vestmannaeyjar, head northeast on the main road (Road 1). Continue on Road 1 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the ferry terminal at Landeyjahöfn. Take the ferry to Þórlakshöfn on the mainland. The ferry ride lasts about 40 minutes and costs around ISK 2,600 for adults. Once you arrive at Þórlakshöfn, drive on Route 30 heading north, then merge onto Route 1 towards Selfoss. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 60 kilometers, then take the exit towards Route 32. Follow Route 32 for about 25 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 26. Continue on Route 26 for about 15 kilometers until you see signs for Háifoss. Follow the signs to the parking area near the waterfall.
