    From the main town of Heimaey, take the road leading out of the town towards the Westman Islands' main ring road. Follow the signs for Þórsmerkurvegur and continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers. As you approach Stóridalur, look for the GPS coordinates M58P+W9M. The destination, Merkurker, will be located on your left. There is free parking available nearby.

    Take the local bus from Heimaey to Stóridalur, which operates several times a day. Check the current bus schedule for exact times.
