Car
From Þórsmörk, head south on the main road towards Hvolsvöllur. Follow the signs for Route 1 (the Ring Road). After approximately 20 km, take the exit toward Route 215, which leads you to the coastal area. Continue on Route 215 for about 30 km, then turn onto Route 221. Follow this road for around 10 km until you reach the parking area for Reynisfjall. From the parking area, it’s a short hike to the peak.
Public Transportation
To reach Reynisfjall using public transportation, first take a bus from Þórsmörk to Vík, which is serviced by several local bus lines. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once in Vík, you can either take a taxi to the Reynisfjall parking area or check if there are local tour operators offering guided trips to the mountain peak. If walking, follow the signs from Vík towards Reynisfjall, which is about 10 km away.
