Car
If you're driving from Clearwater, head north on ID-5 N. Continue on ID-5 N for approximately 19 miles. Merge onto US-95 N and continue for about 12 miles until you reach the junction with I-90 W. Take I-90 W towards Coeur d'Alene. After about 30 miles, take exit 11 toward US-95 S. Follow signs for N Idaho Centennial Trail. Continue on this road until you reach Higgens Point, which will be on your right. There is no parking fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Higgens Point via public transportation, you can take a bus from Clearwater to Coeur d'Alene. Start at the Clearwater Transit Center and board a bus heading to Coeur d'Alene. Once in Coeur d'Alene, you may need to transfer to a local bus that goes towards Higgens Point. Make sure to check the local bus schedules in advance as they may vary. There may be a small fare for the bus, typically ranging from $1-$3.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike from Clearwater to Higgens Point. The route is approximately 30 miles and takes you along scenic roads. Start on ID-5 N and then merge onto US-95 N. Follow the same directions as for driving, but be cautious of traffic and ensure you have a suitable bike route. Bring water and snacks for the journey.
