    If you are starting from downtown Coeur d'Alene, walk south on N 4th St towards S 4th St. Continue straight until you reach E Sherman Ave. Turn right onto E Sherman Ave and follow it until you reach S 15th St. Turn left onto S 15th St and continue straight until you reach McAvoy Rd. Turn right onto S McAvoy Rd. Follow S McAvoy Rd until you see the entrance to Cougar Bay Nature Preserve on your left.

    From downtown Coeur d'Alene, head south on N 4th St, then turn right onto E Sherman Ave. Continue straight until you reach S 15th St and turn left. Follow S 15th St until you reach McAvoy Rd, then turn right. Continue on S McAvoy Rd, and you will find the entrance to Cougar Bay Nature Preserve on your left.
