Public Transportation (Bus)
From downtown Coeur d'Alene, head to the nearest bus stop on Sherman Avenue. Take the Kootenai County Public Transportation bus route that heads north. You will need to transfer to the bus that goes towards Hayden Lake. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for ID-97. Once you get off, follow the signs directing you to Mineral Ridge Scenic Area, which is within walking distance. Look for pedestrian paths leading to the trailhead.

Biking
Rent a bike from a local rental shop in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Start your bike ride along the scenic North Idaho Centennial Trail heading north. Continue until you reach the junction with ID-97. At this point, take a right onto ID-97. Follow the road, and you will see signs for the Mineral Ridge Scenic Area. The bike ride is approximately 8 miles and offers beautiful views along the way.

Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and are up for a long walk, start from downtown Coeur d'Alene and head north along the North Idaho Centennial Trail. This scenic route will take you along the lake and through beautiful parks. Continue on the trail until you reach the intersection with ID-97. From there, you can walk along ID-97 to reach the trailhead of Mineral Ridge Scenic Area. Note that this walk is roughly 8 miles long, so prepare accordingly.
