Getting There

• Walking

  From downtown Coeur d'Alene, start at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library located at 201 E Harrison Ave. Head east on Harrison Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with N 4th St. Turn left onto N 4th St and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Sherman Ave. Turn right onto Sherman Ave and walk for another 0.2 miles. Continue straight until you reach the Coeur d'Alene Resort at 115 S 2nd St. From there, head west along the waterfront path, which will lead you towards the east side of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Follow the path until it intersects with the Spokane River, where you will find the public transportation stop for the bus to Spokane. Board the bus heading to Spokane and disembark at the 'Monroe St Bridge' stop.

• Public Transport

  To reach the Monroe Street Bridge in Spokane from Coeur d'Alene, you can take the city bus. Start at the nearest bus stop in Coeur d'Alene, which is located outside the Coeur d'Alene Public Library at 201 E Harrison Ave. Board the bus that goes to Spokane. The trip will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Spokane, get off at the nearest stop to the Monroe Street Bridge, which is the 'Monroe St Bridge' stop. From there, walk northeast for about 0.2 miles along N Monroe St to reach the bridge, which is located at 218 N Monroe St.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, start at the Coeur d'Alene City Park located at 904 E Front Ave. Head east on Front Ave, then take a right onto N 4th St. Continue until you reach the intersection with Sherman Ave, then turn left. Follow Sherman Ave until you reach the waterfront path. Bike along the scenic route until you get to the Spokane River, where you can connect to the riverfront bike trail leading to Spokane. Follow the trail, and it will bring you to the Monroe Street Bridge area. Park your bike at a nearby bike rack and enjoy the view.
