Walking
Start at the center of McCall, Idaho, near the McCall City Park. Head southwest on E Lake St toward N 3rd St. After about 0.2 miles, turn left onto N 3rd St and continue walking for another 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with E Deinhard Ln. Turn right onto E Deinhard Ln. Continue for about 0.5 miles. You will reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto ID-55 N. Walk along ID-55 N for approximately 0.6 miles until you see the entrance to the Bear Basin Trailhead on your left at Old Brundage Mountain Rd. Follow the signs to the trailhead.
Biking
If you have a bike, start from the McCall City Park and head southwest on E Lake St. After 0.2 miles, turn left onto N 3rd St. Follow this road for about 0.3 miles and take a right onto E Deinhard Ln. Continue on E Deinhard Ln for about 0.5 miles until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto ID-55 N. Bike along ID-55 N for roughly 0.6 miles to reach the Bear Basin Trailhead at the intersection with Old Brundage Mountain Rd. Be cautious of traffic and use bike lanes where available.
Public Transport (if available)
Check the local McCall transit schedule for any shuttle services that may be running to the Bear Basin area. Generally, public transport options may not directly reach the trailhead, but you can take a bus heading north on ID-55 and request a stop near Old Brundage Mountain Rd. From the drop-off point, it's approximately a 10-minute walk to the trailhead.
