Getting There

• Car

  From any point within Ponderosa State Park, head towards the park entrance and exit onto ID-55. Follow ID-55 south for approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction with McCall. Continue straight onto E. Lake Street, which will turn into N. 3rd Street as you enter the city. Follow N. 3rd Street for about 1 mile, and you will find Veteran's Park located at the end of the road on your left at the intersection with N. 1st Street.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, you will need to catch a bus from the nearest stop in Ponderosa State Park to McCall. Look for the local transit service that operates between the park and McCall, which typically runs during the summer. Once you arrive in McCall, disembark at the stop closest to N. 3rd Street. From there, head south on N. 3rd Street for about 1 mile until you reach Veteran's Park on your left.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can ride from Ponderosa State Park to Veteran's Park. Start by exiting the park and taking ID-55 south towards McCall. There is a designated bike lane along parts of ID-55. After approximately 5 miles, take the exit towards E. Lake Street. Continue straight on E. Lake Street and then N. 3rd Street for about 1 mile until you arrive at Veteran's Park on your left. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and up for a long walk, you can trek from Ponderosa State Park to Veteran's Park. Begin by walking towards ID-55 south, which is about a 1-mile walk from the park entrance. Once you reach ID-55, walk along the road (be cautious of traffic) for approximately 5 miles until you reach McCall. From here, follow E. Lake Street and then N. 3rd Street for about 1 mile until you arrive at Veteran's Park on your left.
