Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Sawtooth, head southeast on ID-75 S towards Ketchum. Continue on ID-75 S for approximately 20 miles. Take a left onto ID-21 S and drive for about 15 miles until you reach the junction with Forest Service Road 208 (FS-208). Turn right onto FS-208 and follow it for approximately 5 miles. This will take you directly into Sawtooth Valley. Be aware that FS-208 is a gravel road, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take the Mountain Rides bus service from Ketchum to Stanley, which operates seasonally. Get off at the Stanley stop and from there, you can arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Sawtooth Valley. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes and usually costs around $40-$60.

  • Biking

    For the adventurous, biking from Sawtooth can be a great option. Start by heading south on ID-75 S, then take the left on ID-21 S.
