From downtown Boise, head east on W Main St toward S 5th St. Continue onto I-184 E and follow signs for I-84 E. Merge onto I-84 E and continue for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 47 for ID-21 N toward Idaho City. Drive on ID-21 N for about 22 miles. Once you reach the town of Idaho City, continue on ID-21, which will lead you to the Arrowrock Dam. The dam is located at the coordinates 43.5952° N, 115.9226° W. There is no entrance fee, but be sure to have a full tank of gas as services are limited in the area.

Take the ValleyRide bus from downtown Boise towards Idaho City. The bus service may not run frequently, so check the ValleyRide schedule for times. Once you reach Idaho City, you will need to rent a car or use a rideshare service to cover the remaining distance to Arrowrock Dam, which is approximately 22 miles away.
